Catch Up Premium 2019 - 2020

The government has removed the Year 7 catch-up premium as an on-going funding stream from this September and replaced it with a single year Covid catch-up premium for all students. We have to account for this separately under the Covid plan rather than Pupil Premium.

Financially at the moment this means that the government has allocated £35,120 in Covid Catch-up premium to Armfield, but we have lost an expected income stream of £16,408 in the process and will also lose this amount in subsequent years. The current information on the DfE website does not take account of the growing nature of Armfield and we anticipate receiving a further £12,800 to £14,400 in Covid Catch up premium allocation later in the year when the revised allocations are published as a result of lagged funding.
